Plan B
The FDA now allows women to buy the morning after pill over the counter--if they are over 18 years old. Those younger will need a doctor's note to acquire the pill. This concludes a battle that's been raging since the Plan B pill was first approved by the FDA in 1999. At that time, a prescription was required for its use as an emergency contraceptive.
